'A dream is not reality, but who's to say which is which?' Alice Through the Looking Glass
This work is part of an ongoing series about Street Art in Martinique. I took pictures of an abandoned hostel in February 2012. This hostel was in place called “La pointe du Bout”. This hostel doesn’t exist anymore, as if the character I placed in this street art scenery was just a creation of my mind. At the beginning it was the idea of Sophie a young West Indies girl lost in a world where she doesn’t belong. The existence itself of the hostel was a proof it was a reality and not another dimension. But the fact that this hostel was demolish, gave a reality to my work. In disappearing, the building made my work true. It was becoming a dream.
